Tower Simulation System (TSS) - FAA

MZI is working with the FAA technical and training organization to deliver the most up to date training simulation footprint to increase efficiency, realism, and accessibility of the training simulation system in the field. Tasks include:

  • Led the system development process through the FAA's Acquisition Management System (AMS) process and successfully completed the Joint Resource Council (JRC) engineering analysis

  • Successfully deployed 59 systems to 42 FAA facilities 

  • Implement a data analytics strategy in the area of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to realize more benefits

  • Perform Enterprise Architecture (EA) to analyze enterprise-level impacts of system design

  • Solution architecture for new capabilities such as Natural Language Processing (NLP) for voice recognition and adaptive learning

  • Manage agile software development cycles and acquisition

  • Developed systems requirements with full traceability to the specification and enterprise architecture

  • Lead software requirements analysis and architecture 

  • Lead Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) efforts at the vendor’s facility

  • Lead Site Acceptance Test (SAT) efforts at each FAA facility

  • Perform equipment and technology readiness assessments

  • Lead the full life-cycle system design

  • Support financial analysis for Earned Value Management (EVM)
